Lepistes Balığının Karaciğeri Üzerine Fenpiroksimat Akarisiti’nin Biyokimyasal Etkileri

Fenpyroximate (FP), an acaricide, is widely used in the prevention of acarids (mites) in fruit plant gardens. In this study, the acute toxic effects of sublethal concentrations of FP were investigated using adult guppy (Poecilia reticulata PETERS, 1859). Guppy adults were exposed to sublethal FP concentrations (15, 25, and 150 μgl) during 48 hours (n:10). Sublethal exposures were made according to predetermined 48-h LC50 value ourselves. Static method has been used in this study. Biochemical parameters (Total Antioxidant Capacity [TAC] and Total Oxidative Status [TOS]) were examined to determine the oxidative effects of FP in liver tissue. Sublethal FP doses did not cause any change in antioxidant activity. On the other hand, FP caused oxidative stress at 25 and 50 μgl doses.
